Get Aways was the next swap - immediate visions of green Caribbean waters, warm trade winds, lighthouses and gulls immediately came to my mind, but then again I'm biased that way. Then I thought I should do a few cards of a more universal appeal. But as for me, the beach is my idea of escape. Oh, and the quote is by Kahil Gibran and my answer is "of course, in the heart! where else?"

These are the cards I made for the Gypsy's Soul swap. I kept hearing Cher singing "Gypsies, Tramps and Thieves" the whole time I was making them, and everytime I look at them I hear that song again. *sigh* I think I might have some gypsy blood in me. Lord knows I've sure got the wanderlust! Ah well, tomorrow it's on to China.

Here is the 2nd set of Mardi Gras cards. Two of them have "doors" that open to a mask inside - they are at the top, they are the cards with the glittery beads (one has a white background, one is black). I was inspired. Making these cards forces you to think outside the box - and with surprising results!

These are the cards I did for the first Wizard of Oz swap. (I have another one due in mid-February, I think, so I'll really have to get creative to make 9 different looking cards from the ones below. That will be a real challenge!)
Tomorrow I'll post the cards I did for the two Mardi Gras swaps I signed up for - and these cards are my best yet I think. All glittery and pretty colors, and two have "doors" that open to something hidden inside. You'll see. But I may have a problem posting all 15 of them - the blogger has only been letting me upload 8-9 cards at a time per day - maybe there's some kind of restriction that limits bandwidth usage for uploads or something. We'll have to see what happens tomorrow.
